Graduate Student Fellow
Maria Kogelnik is a PhD student in Economics at UC Santa Barbara. Her primary research interests are labor economics, experimental economics, and applied econometrics. In one current co-authored project, she studies boom-bust cycles, property rights and unemployment in the construction sector of post-reunification East Germany. In 2016, she earned her MA from the UBC Vancouver School of Economics. Before that, she was a visiting scholar at the Institute of European Studies at UC Berkeley. Maria grew up in the Austrian Alps.
